Vivaldi Radio Settings
Player position
On larger desktop screens, you can choose to display the player on any side of the window. On smaller mobile screens or in a Web Panel, the player can be positioned either at the top or bottom of the page.
To change the player location:
- Click on
Settings, in the top right corner. - For Player Position, choose between:
- Top
- Left
- Right
- Bottom
Language
In addition to English, Vivaldi Radio is available in select languages that our volunteers have helped to translate.
To change the language:
- Click on Settings, in the top right corner.
- Select your preferred language.
Volume
To adjust the volume, you can use your computer’s volume controls. But if you wish to change the volume independently, you can also do it from the web page.
To adjust the volume:
- Hover over the volume button on the player.
- Drag the slider to change the volume.
To mute the audio, click the volume button on the player.

Web Panel
Web Panels are customizable Tabs which allow you to keep your favorite sites easily accessible in the side Panel of Vivaldi.
Progressive Web App
To get a more standalone app feeling and access Vivaldi Radio from the computer’s taskbar, you can install the site as a Progressive Web App.
Browser Audio settings
If you’re having issues with hearing the radio after switching tabs, please review your tab muting preferences in Settings > Tabs > Tab Features > Mute Tab Audio.
Mobile
Background audio playback
To make sure you can continue doing other things on your phone while listening to the radio, make sure Allow background audio playback is enabled in Settings > General.
Progressive Web App
To access Vivaldi Radio from your phone’s or tablet’s home screen, you can either install it as a Progressive Web App or create a Homescreen shortcut for it.
