If no snapshot package is provided for your Linux distribution, you can use the Linux snapshot installer script.
Open a Terminal in the directory where you saved “install-vivaldi.sh” and issue the following command:
sudo” or run it as the “root” user. This is needed to setup appropriate permissions on the vivaldi-sandbox (a companion executable used for security).
To upgrade to newer builds in the future, simply re-run your local copy of the installer script whenever a new snapshot blog post comes out. You can subscribe to the Vivaldi Snapshots RSS feed to be notified of this.
Pre-testing builds and other options
If you would like to test run the build with a clean profile/settings before you commit to installation, use the command line switch “
